Shanghai: From what I have read about and seen of JKS, he is an honorable and ethical person who wouldn't take himself out of a game just because everything is turning to shit. However, there is no doubt in my mind that he is gone as soon as the season is over. My prediction is that he ends up at Alabama, Georgia or maybe Texas (if he doesn't get taken in the draft). I am firmly convinced that Lupoi is the second coming of DeShawn Foster and he is simply in over his head. Running an entire football team is much harder than coaching one group like the defense. Football gods, pray for us.
There are a lot of good games on at the same time as the CAL/SMU game. If they score 14 on us in the first quarter then I'm out. I don't like humiliation and pain. You can tell that I am completely down on the state of affairs with CAL football. This is the first week (I believe) that we did not hear from RR (you know about how we are improving, etc.). Someone needs to nut up.
I think I found it. If it was his radio interview, I had to stop listening to it halfway through when he agreed the team deserved to be booed against WF because they did some bonehead things that kept them from winning the game. Ok. But no mention of "we can't have this" or "it's been fixed" or anything else addressing the problem. I like RR, but he is avoiding the hard conversation and instead is pumping sunshine. That no longer works for me.
Agree re RR. But he’s learned over the years to be very much of a “politician” in speaking to the media. I get that, and don’t fault him. He probably feels badly at this point that he kinda got taken in by Lupoi’s great gift of gab (most of us were), and RR is struggling for solutions. It’s one thing for a new head coach to search for answers in building a new “culture” etc, but it’s quite another for the new head coach to potentially alienate a future NFL high round draft pick (as universally observed) for no apparent rational reason. What would you or anyone say in this scenario?
Even if they tell JKS he’s starting for this game, can he say “No, I’m good”?

Yeah he is a great guy and agree that no way he would do that and leave the team hanging.
The comment was more about what a train wreck this team has become, especially our porous O line.
Hopefully they draw up plenty of plays to get the ball out of his hands quickly. We should at least protect his future.

Rugbear: Nut up or quit for the good of everyone involved?
Coaches. Fire some coaches.
He was on "The Ron Rivera Show" podcast 2 days ago.
Thanks, I'll look for it.
