Speedy 3* WR Emanuel "EJ" Morgan Commits to Cal
The onslaught of recruits continues as Cal adds another highly touted player to the Class of 2026
Per his twitter, the Fresno, CA prep comes in with a 10.8 100m dash with an explosive 131” broad jump. He holds offers from ASU, Boise, Fresno State, and SDSU. Despite his low recruiting profile he presents a scintillating blend of track speed and explosive suddenness.
Per Huffman:
[…] He had big junior year on the track with personal best times of 10.80-100m, 21.59-200m, 47.94-400m, 22'7" in the long jump and ran on the schools 4X4 relay team that finished 3rd at CA State Championships with 3:13.13 time. At the NorCal National Preps Camp in February, he set an event record with a 131” broad jump, which would have placed him tied for fourth among receivers at the NFL Combine in early March. […]
His size at 5’10” 155 lbs poses some questions about longevility and durability but like the battlecruiser doctrine of the British Navy circa 1914-45 “speed shall be their armor” do not look up what happened to HMS Hood and HMS Price of Wales and do ask HC Wilcox about installing more AA at CMS.
We seem to be focusing on players that seem to project above their ranking. It's a good strategy!
"The more the merrier" Things look good for the 26 and 27 season.
