Don’t forget the robber baron himself, Leland Stanford, who endorsed the Chinese Exclusion Act while cashing in on Chinese labor, facilitated the genocide of Native Americans, and used public office to enrich his railroad monopoly!
Assuming Stanford’s pass rush is as bad as predicted here, JKS will get all the time he needs to destroy their secondary. And I would love to see plays designed for deep balls to Adam on crossing post patterns. No one in Stanford’s secondary can keep up with Adam’s elite speed. I’ve been wondering for several weeks now why Adam has not been targeted more often. You saw in the Louisville game that he was open by 10-15 yards the one time he was thrown to on a deep ball.
Yes. I really don’t get it. Cal seems to be using him, when they do, as merely a decoy: and that’s fine but they need to throw to him deep at least 5 times a game. That will loosen up the defense more than being a decoy, and will open up the less fast receivers as well as the running game as safeties will think twice about charging up to support the run defense. And I would do this very early in the game. I don’t see the risk in doing this.
His quicks flash at you immediately. Get him the ball in space, see what happens. Wish Harsin would manufacture some touches for him, maybe scheme him open.
Still not happening. The one time they handed him the ball on a jet sweep he was dynamic and came very close to breaking it….and no one on Stanford would have had a chance of running him down. He never saw the ball again.
Tough to execute anything when the OL can’t get any push whatsoever and continues to struggle with the damn snap count..
Have not been incredibly impressed with the coaching additions…same as it ever was. I’d hoped, and honestly thought, they would elevate things but they haven’t really done a thing. Looks basically the exact same as Musgrave, Spav, Bloesch, etc….inconsistent, spotty production with lots of mistakes, penalties and punts.
This is where I wish Cal employed a Common Sense Coach…they could have told Musgrave to run the football at Colorado in ‘22 against the worst rushing defense in the last decade…or now to get the ball in the hands of your fastest player.
Brilliant in depth work here Christopher. You had me at Josh Hawley. I would love so much for Cal to dominate these guys and win big. But, it is the Big Game, anything can happen, so got to moderate my enthusiasms. Nah, heck with that. Go Bears, play well, win big!
Those delayed TE releases worry me. If you notice in two of JDJ's longer catches in Louisville, he ran outside routes where he sold staying flat before going vertical. So hopefully D is ready for that.

I feel like Stanford being even worse than us has saved Wilcox job last few years
Go Bears. Give 'em the axe!
Brilliant Christopher...an epic troll loosely wrapped in an analysis. Go F-ing Bears Forever!

He should have been getting more touches for over a month now.
Given his speed and our complete lack thereof, 1 per game is nowhere near enough.

Yup 1 touch.

Let’s hope Harsin is listening to us…..lol

Adams won't get many touches because DeJesus will get 20 receptions tomorrow

I thought Andrew Luck was best known for crying at that press conference
