I don't quite understand the move to use Stoutenborough as the bulk guy after an opener (of sort) when the opener (Villers) is also a righty. However, Sam Stoutenborough has had better stats as the bulk guy in his freshman year behind LHP Arman Sabouri than last year in the shortened season as the ace (Friday night starter).
Do we know what's going on with Grant Holman? I was very encouraged to hear that he has up his velocity to 98 mph last summer.
Yep, especially since Wolger (probably the only viable lefty on the roster) has performed well enough in that "opener" role. And, if Neu wanted his best righty for whatever reason, he'd pick Proctor over Villers.
And no clue with Holman. I'll ask Neu at the next homestand, but for now, winning five of six has smoothed over any real concerns.
