Outstanding representatives of Cal. They worked their asses off, smart as hell and obviously disciplined. Great to see their success. Amazing that they are starting at safety: side by side: in the Super Bowl. And remember that Woodson spent 6 years at Cal….he kept learning, got stronger and didn’t make himself available to the NFL too early. A good lesson for all D1 football players.

One of the great things about being a Cal football fan for me has been the fun of watching the development of Cal football players as they make their way into the NFL. Go Hawkins and Go Woodson!

Awesome piece on these two. The mentorship angle with Hawkins helping Woodson trasition is underrated in team chemistry. From what they're saying about being staunch communicators and asking questions constantly, seems like that Cal defensive back room culture is alive and well in New England. Sometimes the best draft picks arent just talent, its bringing guys who already have that built in connection.

These two have been so consistent this year. True X factors for the Patriots to have a shot

We need a “ “ in between apart here -> “Our room at Cal, it was really close. Craig was apart of that…”
