I live in Hawaii. The local poop is a lot like what I've seen places like 247. He is publicly maintaining his CAL commit (and wants to honor his commitment which was not made lightly) but Oregon is his dream school. Georgia is involved but he apparently delayed his official visit there by a week. Locals say the Dawgs probably don't have a chance. He apparently really likes CAL. He didn't commit just because it was an offer, but he's really torn with that big, bright Oregon duck shining down on him.
I don't think anyone knows, not even him, what is going to happen. I would not be surprised if this drags on. The kid seems to be have the enviable problem of having to pick between two choices that both sound really good.
I actually have a guess which way he'll go but it's crap cuz it's based on nothing solid so I won't even bother saying it. Good luck to the guy! I hope he comes to CAL, but I wish him all the best whatever the outcome.
If he goes to Oregon he'll be in rain & cold 50% of the fall. Here, he'll be in beautiful Memorial and beautiful sunny Berkeley. AND, he will get much better degree when he graduates.
Plus an added wrinkle: he’ll likely sit longer at Oregon. They recruit proven P4 talent at the QB position because they are yearly CFP contenders. Don’t see them wasting a year while a young QB figures it out v. Ohio St., Michigan, Penn State, etc.
May not matter if Eugene is his dream school, but food for thought.
If we can score 40+ against better defenses, on the road, we sure as hell better do that at home against the Orange. Just hope we can stop them enough, and I think we can. Come on Bears, win this one and make the Big Game an icing on the bowl eligibility numbers.
GAME DAY.
Come on Bears…play a clean game game and execute.
Bowl eligibility would be huge!
finally a runnable game
maybe
Agreed, Coach.
Hopefully we can run, but we haven’t been able to run on anyone…I’ll be satisfied with just a clean game, with limited procedure penalties or holds…
Off topic a bit, but has there been any updates on our ability to hold onto Jaren Sagapolutele?
FYI - it's Jaron actually... no biggie

Pressure McCord and ILB's have to clog up the inside passing lanes. Our corners should have a good day on the fades.
