Seemed like this podcast could be renamed A Defense of Cal Football in an Opening Debacle against UCLA. The truth of the matter was that the game was painful to listen to. I listened to Joe Starkey's call of the game and he was pretty downbeat, which says a lot for Mr. Homer.
It was rough for sure. but there were too many variables in the 24 hours before the game for any real blame to be on anyone. there defn was some issues that are fixable, but its also a single game with extraordinary circumstances to draw meaningful conclusions about this team or coaching.
