Drew..great article.

I often wander if Wilcox would've made Gerald Alexander a Co-Defensive Coordinator. We knew DeRutyer and Baldwin always wanted to leave for other places (Head Coaches) Sirmon and Wilcox are deeply intertwined this is good the issue is that I see them as not being flexible and having the ability to change quickly when needed...I think they get caught up in their scheme instead of matching what's needed against certain teams like 😜 Oregon State a Wilcox Achilles heel is an aggressive play calling coach that's not predictable 🙌💯💡. I'm leaning on SELL for Sirmon..my hope is we find an Inside Linebacker ..I'm SELLING Tattersall ..seems like a great great kid I just don't see the game instincts from him. I'd incorporate 3 Safeties and have Craig Woodson play a Hybrid Linebacker Spot a Troy Polamalu ala Pat Tillman...I just think Sirmon doesn't have the CREATIVITY Ala Jimmy Johnson Spirit to seeee what he has in front of him.

BUY - MUSGRAVE

If our Garbers can play like a Point Guard with a Big Arm....We are gonna be really good.

Tonges will stretch the field.

Running Backs/Screen Game is gonna be strong. I love Damien Moore's natural gamer instincts..He's GOT THE IT ✨

Kekoa is healthy

NIKKO on Fly Sweeps...we gotta attack w him✨💡💡

My big concern for Musgrave is our Left side of our OLine...Will Craig still out w knee injury rehab??? Who's our Left Tackle...that's GARBERS big need and Musgrave has to fin a Left Tackle for the timing to WORK💯✨

CHARLIE RANGLE is an awesome person and our best recruiter perhaps. I think Wilcox needs to support him more and put sometime w the details ..this is a big year for our Special Teams. We have a great snapper , punt returner and punter. Questions r our kicker and kick return team....I wanna see the Freshman running back from Texas Ashytn Stredick( spelling his name wrong) but this kid has Sproles/Faulk type of ball instincts..gotta get him on the field like Woodson on Defense....Cal has to identify the Gamer Guys on their team..not the guys that look good and practice well...GAME READY GUYS.

I'm not a huge Christopher Brooks guy....I wanna see yards after contact. He looks amazing.. phenomenal practice player..great effort but doesn't translate on a consistent game type player...I'm hopeful🙌🙌💡✨ his small tissue injuries from the past will allow him to shine on game days against our biggest GAMES/TEAMS.

WE Got lucky w Luc Bequtte coming back..so sad w Brett Johnson out!!

Deng Stoked w him moving Outside....he doesn't have the body nor instincts for the small game power game to make those tackles..he is too tall ..great effort and team leader.

Our biggest issues will be Left Tackle on Offense for timing purposes (on offense)

Field Goal Kicker and Kick Returner (I don't see Nikko as the guy for kickoffs...excels at small spaces ala punt returner ✨

Defense...I see Tattersall as a weak spot...I target him and run or go after his area all day✨ if I'm the opposing team

Will Aaron Maldonado please show up? I think he fell in love a few years ago for the first time and it snapped his football Energy.. hopefully he's got his mojo back!!!! If not gotta hope the new young freshmen will be our anchor at Noseguard....Stanley and Rickey !!! Let's Go..I'm fired Up💯💯

Cameron Goode could be the Defensive Player of The Year in the Conference 🙌✨💯💡

Will Braxton Croateau drop down to DE on Passing downs to add more speed??? We have a ton of great athletes ..how will the coaches use their speed and talent...I will go back to Jimmy Johnson at Miami Hurricane days...speed and mobility over size and looks..We Gotta use our Gamers on every side of the field ..be it special teams, defense and offense..EVERY SNAP COUNTS MENTALITY ✨

We need a Left Tackle, Inside Backer, Kick Returner and .....what do u think??? Thanks Drew and Rob Hwang

I got a "hold" on Musgrave. Mainly because of the crap conservative play calling in the second half of the Oregon State game last year that probably cost them a W. Also......could not establish a punishing running attack in those four games. I am also holding on Deng. He has not showed enough ability to tackle in open space to make me buy his stock yet. If he fixes that, his draft status goes way up.

"nd an expansive, affluent alumni base"

One that has never spent on its football team. I would guess that Oakland small businesses would be more willing to sign players to small endorsement deals before we get some sort of Phil/T Bone level support.

I mean we can't go back to the Haas family well.

A small minority has ponied up in the past. Let's see what businesses do, and how attractive the Cal NIL program is.

Indeed, let's not forget we once had Kabam! Field!
