There are several Cal football recruiting visitors this weekend
Who's coming to Berkeley on conference title weekend?
247Sports reports the following visitors to Cal football this weekend, all 2024 prospects. Could good news be on the horizon as early signing day looms?
Wide receiver Josiah Martin, Guyer (Denton, TX), 5-11 and 165 pounds
Martin is ranked as the 93rd best wide receiver by 247Sports Composite and 114th best Texas prospect. Another visit is planned to Virginia the week after, and there are dozens of major offers, including Alabama, Oregon, and Wisconsin.
Offensive lineman Kalolo Ta'aga, Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA), 6-7 & 265 pounds
Ta'aga is a huge local target of need, as he takes his third major visit after trips to Arizona and Utah. USC also recently offered. Ta’aga is ranked as the 115th best offensive tackle and 101st best California prospect.
Offensive lineman Syris Corley, Taylor (Taylor, TX), 6-5 and 275 pounds
Corley would also be huge for the Cal offensive line. He’s ranked by 247Sports as the 86th best offensive tackle in this class. Boston College, Texas Tech and Purdue are also major offers.
Linebacker Keaton Thomas, Northeast Mississippi C.C. (Booneville, MS), 6-2 and 230 pounds
Thomas takes what appears to be his first major visit to Cal this week. He is ranked as a top 50 JUCO prospect by 247Sports, and the 3rd best linebacker. Thomas also holds major offers from Baylor, West Virginia and NC State.
Thank you for these updates
Looks like some great prospects. Always need LBs, but with Elams-Orr hitting the portal, getting a talented player with experience could be crucial. Need someone who is ready to go immediately.
