think we win this.. thru interceptions.

their QB likes to scramble, throw to tight windows...

but we will suffer some big QB scramble runs..

let's just hope our offense is clicking.

So, Cal has a bit of a short week, has to travel to Blacksburg Virginia, didn't look that great in the win over North Carolina, is playing a team with a 2-5 record against some very good teams and some not so good teams, is coming off a bye week, can run the ball well and has a mobile QB, which has always been a problem for Cal's defense. Uh Oh. Well, Go Bears and score more points against their not so good defense.

I watched VT against WF and a couple of their other games and I think you nailed it. Stewart especially is lethal if he gets downhill. Cal needs to be at least plus-two in TO margin tomorrow to pull the upset..

Looks like containing Drones is going to be the challenge while hurrying him to throw into well covered situations. Once he gets loose, it’s going to be a problem for Cal. And the VT running backs are definitely going to be a threat. They will have carefully dissected the Duke films and will concentrate on hurrying JKS and forcing him to throw quickly before the pocket collapses. Expect a fierce pass rush and LB ready to stop the run. This will not be a walk in the park. And at 4:30pm PDT on a Friday? It will be competing with really good high school football games. Take your pick!

"For what it’s worth, PFF grades Virginia Tech’s pass blocking a 45.2—good for 131st of 136 FBS teams—while their pass blocking gets a 51.1, good for 118th/136. Blocking has been a consistent struggle for this offense."

which one is run blocking?

Sorry, that was a typo. The first one, the worse grade, is run blocking. Thanks for the catch.

So hope for Drones to miss some targets and contain him so he can’t break off any Khalil Tate runs. Make him beat you with his arm.

Yeah, Khalil Tate is a pretty good QB comparison.
