The rule where a player has to sit out the 1st half of the next game for a targeting call that happens in the second half was done away with for this year. So, fortunately, Daniel Harris can play from the start in the VA Tech game.
Nice work as always Christopher. The spread appears to be understated for this one I suppose. Quick comment, its odd that seeing these kind of games in person is somehow less frustrating than watching them on the screen at home.
Per the ACC player availability report that came out yesterday, Cal is liable to be without almost half its starters (if you count Manutai) on defense. But, if all the players who are indicated as “Questionable” play, that number would dwindle down to just one, At the least, though, they’ll be limited. To the point that, well, everyone’s got guys out by this point in the season I see that VA Tech, conversely, has no starters on their list.
Excellent (and chilling) review, Chris. Without our top performers on both sides of the ball it will be a challenge for Cal to stay in this game. QB2 did show promise last week so perhaps it won’t be as big a loss as I fear, regardless of who’s calling the offensive shots. I still see Cal at 3-9 but that’s assuming we can win back the axe in a worst of the worst (definitely not very) Big Game.

I expect a win. Secondary is gonna have to rise to the occasion without 1 starter and one out for the half. Offense is gonna hum in Air Raid mode.
