The California Golden Bears (1-0) face the UNLV Rebels (1-0) for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The Golden Bears and Rebels were previously scheduled to play at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to start the 2020 college football season. However, the game was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

California head coach Justin Wilcox will hope to protect his four-game winning streak at home and instill a winning mentality ahead of next week's road trip to South Bend, Ind., to face off against the No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The UNLV Rebels travel to Berkeley, Calif., after a bye week. In its season opener, the Rebels crushed Idaho State 52-21, resting most of its starters at halftime.

The Golden Bears will lean on their defense, which returned an interception for a touchdown last week in the season opener, as quarterback Jake Plummer works on getting more comfortable as Cal's lead play-caller.

UNLV is 6-32 against teams in the Pac-12 Conference.
