I was at Wazzu vs Stanford. You can bet your ass I was grinning from ear to ear watching that massacre unfold.

Furd down 21-0 after 10 minutes. On track to lose by 126.

This is either going to be an epic beat down of Stanford or an epic coug’n it by WSU. No room for anything in between.

Looks like the Big Game will be contested by a couple of 3-7 teams. Furd is at Utah next week.

Watched the OSU-Washington game last night. Beavs may have been a bit too aggressive in going for it on 4th and 2 at the goal line. Got stuffed on two separate drives and came away with no points. They didn't have too much of a passing game and also scored on a Pick 6 thrown by Penix.

Silly analytics nonsense. Gotta get points from within the 10 after the long drive. I get not going for long field goals because of the wind, but after getting stuffed on the previous play, that's basically an extra point, and they were kicking extra points.

From the larger article on the Cal Basketball team on The Athletic website by Seth Davis, comes this nugget:

"Cal is halfway through its 10-year, $86 million deal with Under Armour, but the company is trying to terminate it, and the two sides could be nearing an exit next spring."

At last an answer finally provided about the Under Armour deal. It's been next to impossible to buy new gear from the ASUC store or the AD website, meaning the school is missing out on yet another source of revenue...

It also explains the way in which the various non-football teams have begun sporting more and more generic uniforms.

I wonder if the "Sather Stripe" will survive in the our new Uniform Overlord era next spring?

Could Under Armour claim that Cal was in breach of contract because of the quality of their football and basketball programs?

It undoubtedly plays a role...the Cal brand is literally as weak as it has ever been, in a time when other schools are on the rise. When it comes to the revenue sports, Cal, under it's current leadership, is a sinking ship.

I believe the impetus behind this move by Under Armor though was the lost season because of COVID...that got the ball rolling. That deal suddenly didn't very good...and they saw an opening to get out of it.

This is so disappointing. Seriously, can Cal athletics do anything right?
