Our offense will score against Duke. The question is will we score more than them. This game will come down to how well our defense plays. If we can stuff the run and shut down third and longs, then we have a good chance of beating these guys.
If we have a good QB and a good defense, we have a chance against anyone. The good QB I feel good about. It’s odd that I feel so strangely not confident in our D which has been Wilcox calling card.
I hope we win but Cal will lose San Diego state style because our o line is still not great and our defense has some glaring issues with run and pass defense that duke will take note of from the last 2 games.
I think this will be a high scoring affair. Cal's offense looked really good last week against BC and Duke's defense is suspect. If Cal can win the turnover battle and run the ball like they did last week, and especially if the crowd shows up loud like they did against Minnesota, I like our chances.
Masses reads Duke their final rights with a pick 6 to seal this one to take the boys to mass on Sunday (since the game will end after midnight on the east coast). I also expect a run back from the Jesus. Some guys step up in the absence of our injured defense guys. 27-17 Cal.
