Scoreline: Cal wins 38-20

The Cal defense gives McCord tough looks, and forces him to make high difficulty throws to drive down the field (which he does). The Syracuse defense performs worse than Wake Forest, failing to adjust to literally anything the Cal offense does, and Cal wins on the strength of their offensive performance for the second week in a row.

First time the Bears go three straight games scoring 40+ under Justin Wilcox. Merriweather gets the full go and dominates. Secondary confuses the hell out of Kyle McCord and its a rout from the start.

Scoreline: Cal wins 30-24

Syracuse is top-five in pass yardage per game, but they accumulate yards inefficiently. Cal is middling in passing yards allowed, but the Bears force opposing QBs into a horrific 110.49 passer rating. 'Cuse will throw the ball a ton, turn the ball over a few times, and have a hard time scoring. The deciding factor will be whether Cal can move the ball against Syracuse's defense and take advantage of Syracuse's abysmal tackling.
