Scoreline: Cal loses 10-35
Virginia is a dark horse to sneak into the playoffs. They’re a complete team, and I can’t even imagine a plausible explanation as to how Cal could win this one.

Virginia is very shifty (positively) and Cal is very shifty (negatively). Both are coming off of bad weeks, but I’ll be honest I think Cal has what it takes to win, but we can’t stop shooting ourselves in the foot long enough to put it all together. One off-rhythm play on offense (sack, penalty, fumble, bad snap, etc) often precede us going 3 & out thanks to fundamental mistakes like dropping passes on 2nd and 3rd down. And with a defense that decided to make business decisions when the lights were the brightest last week (except for Uluave), I really don’t see the Golden Bears getting a third ACC victory here. If Cal can shut down the zone read, and maybe make some half time adjustments that actually work, I think the score could easily be flipped with a 38-21 victory for Cal. But that’s a mighty big if. I hope I’m wrong and I get to celebrate said wrongness post-game.

Scoreline: Cal loses 20-35
Virginia’s offense is rock solid and while they’ve flirted with losses, they haven’t done so. They are my most improved team in the ACC and will continue that momentum against a Cal team doing more than soul searching.

Scoreline: Cal loses 21-28
Depending on how effective Morris can be on the ground we can have a close game or something akin to playing against an academy team.

Scoreline: Cal loses 23-31
I have no confidence in Cal’s ability to slow the productive UVA ground game.

Scoreline: Cal wins 28-14
JDJ finally returns one en route to a 250 all purpose yards day. Idk man I wanna see something fun.

Scoreline: Cal loses 17-27
As down as I am on Cal, I do think there’s an obvious path for Cal to win this game. Chandler Morris is the primary player that transformed Virginia from ACC bottom dweller to dark horse contender, and if Morris isn’t 100%, this game can absolutely descend into rock fight status, and the Bears could easily win another close game a la Boston College or North Carolina. But I suspect that Morris will have just enough for a semi-comfortable win.

Scoreline: Cal wins 27-24
In TypiCal fashion, Golden Bears manage to pull off an upset, making most of the fanbase worrisome about Justin Wilcox potentially not going anywhere [spoiler alert/wishful thinking, everything still works out great when Wilcox makes a parallel move and Cal is off the hook for the buyout to make a coaching change.]
