There is no Cal football game at home this week, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go home and watch Cal football! Many of your Write for California regulars will be watching the Bears right in Berkeley. Doors open at 11AM!
Write For California Watch parties will take place at Headlands on Campus, located where the previous site of the newest version of the Bears Lair was under Eshleman Hall. You might be familiar with Headlands Brewing from their locations in West Berkeley, Lafayette and Walnut Creek.
They’ve opened a brand new branch on campus to hopefully reinvigorate the magic of the old Lair, and Write for California should have a presence there for all the road games this year, so come on by, say hi, and have a great time watching the Bears!
Cal takes on the Syracuse Orange at 12:30PM PT on Saturday, September 12th. If you are close by, come swing by and watch the Golden Bears in action!
The magic of the Bear's Lair can only be recaptured if I get stuck with a bunch of splinters sitting on top of a table Friday at 3pm. Also a torta from that Cantina that was down there. And then going down to the Underground to blow $8 in quarters on NBA Jam Tournament Edition.
God. Wouldn't be nice if there was a tailgate in Sproul Plaza with a huge blow up screen for projector TV in Zellerbach Plaza? Might keep momentum.
