Great article that failed to compare alternative disparaging acronyms of the two universities. Whereas there is no disparaging acronym for the name of the flagship school of California, and No. 1 University in the world, which is “California,” UNLV has two: University of No Lasting Value and U Never Leave Vegas (which although I remain a rare exception to the latter, is the case for the rest of my native born Vegas family who hate and complain about it constantly but up to this point have done nothing about it despite having decades of adulthood to do so).
Another data rich , highly relevant and extremely timely contribution. Who knew we already had 10 Nobels in the bag in 1957...Go Bears, begin the reset!
While you're in the stadium, leave a note that you were in Hezekiah Masses House and wish him a 3rd good performance! Once again, a Cal Bear makes a name for himself in the NFL secondary! We will, once again, need him at his best! The Raider Nation thanks you all for the support that helped make him the outstanding rookie that he is.
My game neutral note is that I saw U2 at the Sphere a couple of years ago, and despite it being the most expensive concert ticket of my life, I felt like it was well worth the spend.
Best thing I ever saw in the greater Las Vegas area; a phainopepla. The phainopepla is, per Google, “the most northerly representative of the mainly tropical silky flycatchers. Its name is from the Greek phain pepla meaning ‘shining robe’ in reference to the male's plumage,” but to me it just looked like a very slender, shimmery black cardinal. It was so striking in relation to the desert environment where I saw it, perched on a gangly shrub.
