2024 3-Star WR Josiah Martin Commits to Cal
OC Bloesch taps into his old stomping grounds of Denton, TX for the Commit beating 35 other schools who have offered the wideout
Big add from Texas, OC Bloesch’s first commit comes in in the form of a 6’0” 170 lbs WR out of Denton, Texas. He is the 13th commit for the Golden Bears, 6th from Texas where we have tapped into hard in due to the Texas roots of the offensive staff.
Martin hold offers from 35 programs from the college football landscape, some of which include: Alabama (!), Arizona State, Baylor, Boston College (where he was committed before,) Cincinnatti, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Mizzou, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Purdue, TCU, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin to name a few.
Here are his comments about the commitment to 247’s Wiltfong
"My visit was great. I love the scenery of the California and the campus and the facility it was a great vibe the coaches are very together and all think alike! This coaching staff has been recruiting me for about two years now and I’m really grateful for their consistency. Also my ability to play as a freshman also peaks my interest because I do wanna make an impact as soon as I step on campus. And with Coach Bloesch being the OC is a plus he has a good relationship with my high school coach! Coach Toler as well he’s been very consistent with me and continues to be the same way he was two years ago!"
Welcome to Cal Josiah!
That’s some good company we beat.
Josiah specifically called out, first and foremost, his faith in his post. Like a lot of resources at Cal, there is a wide variety of faith based student run & off-campus organizations, and In case he reads this thread, I thought it would be helpful for him to know that while he might have to seek out the faith based groups, they are there at Cal.
