Wow. All the commenters blame the head coach for the loss when their team loses. But usually, it's because the winning team has better talent and is just plain a better team.

Maybe it's because the head coach is responsible for bringing in the talent and then making them better.

Sometimes it's the institution that can affect the recruiting.

Recruit: "Can I get into [Big Name Football School]

Recruiter: "Have you got a pulse? Hell, yeah, and don't worry about those pesky grades."
