This season we go around our writers for their takes on the other conference games that went on in gameweek.

USC @ UCLA (USC wins 48-45)
TD_24 - First it was Washington vs Oregon and now its USC vs UCLA for game of the week. Good lord what a game from Caleb Williams and a great fight from DTR.
Bk97 - DTR picked a terrible time to revert back to his old, turnover-happy self.
Christopher_h - USC clinched a spot in the Pac-12 title game, and their playoff hopes remain alive... at least until they lose to Oregon in the conference championship. DTR played really gutsy football, but it's hard for any team to overcome a fumble and 3 INTs.
Rob Hwang - How did both teams not lose…
Utah @ Oregon (Oregon wins 20-17)
TD_24 - Bo Nix only needed one wheel to defeat the Utes. Not a great indicator for Utah.
Bk97 - That was a brutal 4th quarter for the Utes: dropped passes, failed 4th downs, and another uncharacteristic Rising turnover.
Christopher_h - Surprisingly strong defensive performances from some of the best offenses in the conference. I still think Oregon is the best team in the conference, but the blowout loss to Georgia and UW upset keep them out of the playoffs. Thus, it only makes sense for Oregon to be the one to sabotage the Pac-12's playoff hopes.
Rob Hwang - Well there goes that chance for Utah.
Colorado @ Washington (Washington wins 54-7)
TD_24 - The Colorado game in October will forever haunt me.
Bk97 - Every week our loss to Colorado looks worse.
Christopher_h - UW is looking strong to finish the year. Colorado, on the other hand...
Rob Hwang - I’m glad we didn’t play Colorado this year. Really would’ve lowered our SOS.
Oregon State @ Arizona State (Oregon State wins 31-7)
TD_24 - Oregon State took care of business. Their stock is rising up and I can't wait for their game vs Oregon.
Bk97 - The Beavs have a chance to be a 10-win team this year. The turnaround under Jonathan Smith has been incredible.
Christopher_h - OSU with another strong defensive performance. Trenton Bourguet is not a bad quarterback, but OSU's pass defense was too much.
Rob Hwang - OSU is the real deal now and I am terrified of them.
Washington State @ Arizona (Washington State wins 31-20)
TD_24 - Jayden De Laura took it personal. Washington State's defense took it even more personal.
Bk97- That probably would have gone better for Arizona if Jayden de Laura didn't keep passing to his old teammates.
Christopher_h - Wazzu controlled this game the whole way. Four second half interceptions by QB Jayden de Laura probably didn't help things, though.
Rob Hwang - Never a good idea to transfer intra-conference because of moments like these.
Any other thoughts?
TD_24 - The Axe is home, that's all that matters.
Bk97 - Our Axe!
Christopher_h - Prior to the Big Game, when was the last time Cal rushed the field at Memorial Stadium?
Rob Hwang - Never in doubt.
Around The Conference Table: Week 12
Was the last time we rushed the field in Memorial when we beat Texas?

Which of you guys think we need to name our new OC and OL coaches before the transfer portal opens to keep as many current players on our team from transferring out? Would be best if that is published next week.
The transfer portal opens on Dec. 6 of this year. It will open for 45 days and agin for a shorter period a few months later. Here is a somewhat detailed description of the rules for that.

My initial take is that we don't need to announce our new coaches on Dec. 6 of even something close to that, since the date a player entering the portal does not provide any limitation as to when a player can transfer to another school after entering it. Actually, it might be worthwhile for a player to delay any transfers out within the portal until after seeing who has already done that and, undoubtedly, a player can revoke his transferring into the portal, though I don't know the rules on that. Just my two cents after skimming the rules. Obviously, I have zero experience in this area. Probable plenty of different opinions on these and other subjects.
