FWIW, Cal has a winning record against B1G programs over the last 20-25 years. I don't think we'd be doing any better or worse than we did in the Pac, all else being equal.
Just remember that you don't play Ohio State or Michigan every week. There are plenty of Rutgers, Illinois, Northwestern type opponents too.
