My concern is in gagging the 14-point lead in about 4 minutes, plus letting them hang around late, Cal gave Ga Tech confidence they can totally beat them. Sure, you’ll worry about that early-March game in Atlanta when it arrives, hopefully with a healthy Dort, but still.
Would have been nice to keep the lead at double-digits, but a win is absolutely a win.
I wouldn't dismiss it as such but I'd like to chalk up part if this poor performance to being a trap game. A gimme home game between two pivotal matchups plus a nice early lead can lead to lapses in focus. Team's already shown the ability to bounce back so I'll look for that Saturday.
