Is anyone concerned about Thiemann's (lack of) development? Last year, Vanover improved significantly from the beginning to the end of the season. Lars seems to be regressing. Zero points with multiple fouls and turnovers is the usual night for him. Am I the only one alarmed?
Yes, I'm a titch concerned. You can't teach size, but 7'ers should be scoring 4 pts and grabbing at least 5-6 boards per game just on general principle (says the 5'9" middle infielder here!). And while it's true that Vanover did improve over the course of the year, his ability to shoot from the outside was the real driving force in his development, IMO. That's not Lars' game, although I definitely would've liked to have seen a little more from him on the block. That said, we all know the old cliche about FR---->SO, and a full off-season on campus, working on the various things they need to work on, should do wonders for the squad. The big question will be who, if anyone, joins Jacobi in the transfer portal, bc that is just the nature of college athletics now.
Thiemann is the one that hasn't been playing for long, right? It may just take him longer. Anticevich and Kelly were always the two that were going to be high impact, IMHO, while Thiemann would take more time to develop.
Thanks, Rick! Rather disheartening....tough to see the shooters struggle so much (again?) from the field (Grant, Bradley, South combined 6-25)...player development will be key for Fox, starting with Kuany, IMHO FWIW. All in all, a solid season under the circumstances, and a good group of kids. Easy to root for!

We should expect to see a 1-3-1 zone from here on out...
