In my book (correct me if I’m wrong) Millner is not gone until he announces another school. If I’m Spav (I’m not) I’m leaning on him pretty hard to stick it out in the new system.
No one who declares is out until ... they sign with another team/enroll at another school or just don't show up when class/practice starts at their old school. They are free to come back but their scholly can be pulled. In Milner's case, I would expect Wilcox/Spavital to keep him if he wants, but it's technically just a guess.
He's going to collapse from overwork unless we start seeing some QB and OL announcements. But I do appreciate a good punter (and have a light pringle when I remember Ray Guy approximates Ray Punter for many punters).
still no QB though? maybe Spav's going pure Wildcat on every play... as long as they're 'rebuilding', can they give Mendoza a chance to throw once a game, maybe twice? Lack of depth is a Wilcox calling card. But great, let's welcome another punter.
I'm not excited about Rogers either, but... 242 does point out he does rank 7th national overall in adjusted (subtract drops) completion rate... so, yay? At least Mendoza supposedly looked good in practice. Maybe Spav can make things better... in a couple more years of "rebuilding"... he better bring some OL's in from the portal but of course no word on that...sigh.
At this point, I honestly don't care who we bring in. I have no clue of their physical attributes or potential. I just hope that whoever ends up here and gets coached up is successful on the field next fall.
Punting can be winning....(per our chancellor)
Aussie guys are pretty tough, I bet one of these guys could be converted to starting guard on the OL.
This means three and out......still waiting on the BEEF!
Cal, where punter battles are a thing!

Damn, you're not Spav?

Hmmm, a Golden Hurricane. Hopefully no dribbled punts.
Will hardly need a punter this year given how prolific our offense will be behind that outstanding quarterback....Um, what's his face.

“Ray Guy approximates Ray Punter for many punters”
Is that like 2 equals 4 for sufficiently large values of 2?
If I recall correctly, Ben Franklin once said "in this world nothing can said to be certain except death, taxes, and an Aussie punter at Cal"

You act like the punter is taking away a QB's slot lol. This has zero bearing on who the QB ends up being.
Faraudo: Millner still leaving door open though being cagey. Apparently didn't know Plummer would transfer.

hmmm, it is curious how that worked out.
Offense is for losers, bring on the punters!!!!
Amen! Why wait for 3 and out? Punt on 2nd down! Win that battle of field position!
FIRST AND 10, PUNT IT AGAIN, GOOOOOOO BEARS!
Rumor is that Chandler Rogers from 4-8 ULM is joining. We can't even get top talent from G5 anymore
So... Mendoza, got it. thks

But is he, uh, ambilegulas?
