Best of luck Monty.

This past season was so nice to see, but unfortunately we’ve reached a spot in the sport where there really is little incentive to invest NIL $ or a scholarship in kids that are not ready to make an immediate impact. Unless they are ready to contribute, it does not behoove a school like Cal to try and develop a kid because chances are they’re not sticking around.

Local boy. Sure hope he gets a good education somewhere else, though nothing will equal Cal. Best wishes to him. Boy, I'm increasingly convinced the staff are going all in on the Portal and must have some deep pockets. Any reporting on the amount of NIL money at the disposal of coach Madsen would be appreciated.

I work for Cal as a mic man, and my boss told me that Madsen has set the goal at 2 million and he is already almost there. Wilcox on the other hand has requested 6 million and is still working to get there with the donors. For perspective Alabamas football NiL payroll is roughly 25 million. This is all info from my boss who works directly under Knowlton

Best of luck to him. We'll see what team Madsen assembles this time. I really liked the team this year but hope we can have a faster start this time. Of course, this is almost like a second Year 1 complete with different conference.

As Erlyn had mentioned, players are interested but the NIL package genuinely matters. So start that Legends subscription if you haven't already.
