We'll see how fast they fill up, but it's great that the school and the BART are helping. I'm so happy that everyone is doing their part to contribute for the best experience.
Hopefully there is still space by 545. I'm shooting for Lower Hearst because it's the closest, but probably others will as well. Then work my way Southside and park in my usual spot if RSF, ellsworth fills up.
I *think* meters donтАЩt start until 9am, in which case you could just leave Game Day a few minutes early? Or park in a residential area around the frats or on the northside. Generally those are two hour, but may have acceptions on game days, so you may also need to leave game day a few minutes early.
Read the residential parking signs carefully -- there are special game day rules and in some 'hoods enforcement has been extended this year to 11:00 pm to account for night games.
Also see my other post -- the Berkeley High Athletic Fund sells parking for all home games at the BHS lots @ Bancroft & Milvia. Proceeds benefit BHS sports teams. (Unfortunately this weekend they have to accommodate school functions until about 2:00 pm, so no 6 a.m. solution there....)
If you leave before 9:00 you'll miss the highlight of the show - Corso putting on the Ibis or Bear head. I think downtown meters are app driven, so you should be able to note the meter number and pay from campus just before 9:00.
I will arrive Friday night and be at the campus before 6am. Where do I park?
Apparently they are now offering free parking till 11am only at the RSF, lower hearst structure (level II), Ellsworth and genetics garages.
For gameday? So as long as we're out by 11 we're good? Better plan than where I usually park.

I'm partial to the downtown garages. Allston Way garage works for me.
