OldBear: Good point. I completely forgot that Florida is our new Southern California. Miami and FSU will replace fUCLA and U$C. Other than the humidity, mosquitoes, deep-red politics and five hour plane ride to get there, it's practically the same place!
We are already trekking to that part of the country during the regular season, so why go across the country for a tough game when we can stay in California and sell a lot of tickets...
Question: Why did we cancel the series with Florida? It seems like we would have gotten some good exposure. Any thoughts?
we're also already getting exposure in FL by playing Miami and FSU. Also keeping to the A/B/C out-of-conference scheduling strategy

Florida isn't really DEEP red (especially in Miami).
There goes our chances of being the undisputed State of Florida champions.

Speculation is to save on travel cost.
