Wilcox might be holding the cards close to the vest so our opponents can't scheme for the star or nickelback guys yet. So the released depth chart with positions might be plain vanilla.
Very interesting. I'm assuming Crawford will handle the KR spot and Remigio the PR spot? Other than that, we will be depending on some true frosh to make an impact.
Yeah, I guessed I misinterpreted that. I guessed Crawford might be a bit more speedy than Remigio and a bit more able to handle being tackled at the 25 every time. But I'm probably wrong.
Hi GoBears49. It should be noted that that's not an official depth chart, and UW has announced that they will not name an official starter until the start of the Cal game, to keep the element of surprise. The 4 QBs were all listed in the starting spot with an "OR" between each of their names. Garbers probably appears first on that list because it's sorted alphabetically by last name.
While it would certainly be interesting to see a Garbers v. Garbers matchup, I expect the starter will more likely be Sacramento State transfer Kevin Thomson, or returning backup Jacob Sirmon. You can read more in my offensive preview article tomorrow.
I expected an explicit inclusion of a nickelback and the new star position. Nothing too surprising otherwise.

Given his policy for "lower/upper-body injury", I had the same inkling.
Yeah interesting how we're running out base package on this depth chart.

Why make that assumption when Nikko is listed as primary for both?

Bears are now favored by 1 point against the Huskies, quite a change from being 6.5 point underdogs
