They say that the most dangerous men, are those with nothing to lose, so understand this, on the eve of our home opener: the 2023 Cal Bears are those men -- the team realignment nearly forgot, the team everybody expects to bow meekly into the night, just marched into Texas and rolled up 58 points, like it was nothing. And we are going into every game this year, looking to do it again, to ruin scoreboards and record books, because we have nothing to lose. This week, the visitor is from out East, used to bigger lights, on bigger stages, and we don’t plan on changing a damn thing about us. It’s not about odds, rankings, matchups – this is about principles. We are all we need, after an entire sport left us for dead. And you should know this -- out here, the cover of night is the great equalizer. Our gods live in the cruel midnight. Welcome to Pac-12 After Dark, Auburn. The hour of demons, and chaos, and everything in between. We’re the men with nothing to lose. We’re here. Expect us.

Well geezus guys, all right then. I was just going into this thing dressed up in gold to enjoy what I thought was a game between two improved teams that appear fairly evenly matched with my son and have a beer and a bear burger and yell till I am hoarse for Cal. But I like the change in direction, let's get dark, it's going to be nighttime, let's be dangerous, why not. See, told you so, we did not lose everything in Colorado. Go Bears!
Represent California - it's time to make our mark.
