Cal Football and Cal Twitter's Advertising Takes Over the San Francisco Bay Area
We have another movement to get people to attend.
If you find your way around the Bay Area and haven't yet decided if you're coming to either College Gameday in Berkeley, or the game against Miami, you might just find another reminder courtesy of your online Golden Bears.
After following up on their successful billboard buys in ACC territory, another grassroots marketing campaign has appeared closer to home. It's all hands on deck, trying to get people aware, excited and notified about the Miami game.
First, they placed reminders on BART (where Cal Twitter also made an impact), at the Embarcardero, Montgomery, and Powell Street stations, which will run Wednesday through Friday:Â
The advertisement has been added to Safeway market’s around the Bay Area as well:
And then there are bigger billboards getting in on the advertising as well across the Bay:
And, in case you need another reminder, or the photos weren't enough already, tickets are still available for the game against Miami, 7:30PM at Memorial Stadium. Arrive at the crack of dawn if you want to participate for College GameDay, which will be live on Memorial Glade starting at 6AM PT.Â
Sweet! Love the hype.
I've been super worried that we'd have a visibly empty stadium, but ticket availability seems to be pretty close to a sellout. Did we remove the tarps? I feel like we would have "sold out" already had we not just looking at the seat map.
