Lots of new faces, many of whom have proven themselves in other programs, experienced talented QBs, didn't lose too many of the old faces. Should add up to a successful year.
Mendoza is the incumbent and finished strong last year. However, they'll go with the best looking QB, whoever that is. I remember Jared Goff coming out of high school early and being in spring practice. It seemed like almost every day in spring and then fall camp I would see the QB wrap up ending with "and Goff looked pretty good today," so I wasn't as surprised as some when he was named the starter as a freshman.

Why hasn't Mendoza settle in as a 1? I thought he played well in Fall and Spring to be a 1. So Wilcox is establishing a qb controversy?

Hopefully we'll get to see both of the top two QBs, as well as a lot of the new guys in the UC Davis game.
It's great have such an embarrassment of riches.
