Cal Football ILB Kaleb Elarms-Orr, OT Brayden Rohme, DB Tyson McWilliams enter the Transfer Portal
Some tough blows
Cal Football is starting to see more names trickle into the transfer portal, with some key pieces declaring their intentions recently. Chief among them, was today’s announcement of inside linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr announcing on Instagram that he would enter the portal with two years of eligibility remaining. Elarms-Orr starred this year for a Golden Bears defense that was looking for stability, racking up tackles weekly and even including an interception against North Texas. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Offensive Tackle Brayden Rohme was another player to announce his intentions to transfer, having played four years in the blue and gold and earning his degree. Rohme started 15 games for Cal throughout his time, working hard alongside a unit that was making progress this year, and will have one year of eligibility as a graduate transfer.
The last name at this juncture to enter his name into the portal is defensive back Tyson McWilliams, who was on the outside looking in for playing time throughout his time. McWilliams showed some flashes of who he could with playing down the stretch of the 2022 season from USC to the finale against UCLA, but ultimately the coaches looked elsewhere when everyone was healthy. McWilliams will graduate and have two years remaining at his next spot.
We thank all these men for their contributions and wish them the best of luck in their futures.
Or was probably poached by Tosh Lupoi. He's famous for that. Or maybe Harbaugh.
Sigh...Huge blow to our defense, losing KEO.
