Look up Calgorithm and the memes. I am a long time die hard Bear fan. I watch Cal sports for entertainment.
I am tired of being asked for money with politics tied to a request. Another example is when former Chancellor Carol Christ would request money based on her abortion views.
I do not donate money based on politics. I donate to help students receive the best education.
Andrew, the NIL is entirely separate from the Calgorithm. It is a fun little thing that many Cal fans enjoy at this point in time. My comment in this post is entirely directed at that audience, which is very large and full of invested Cal fans.
The NIL itself has nothing to do with Cal Twitter and is entirely in service of the Cal football program. It will help Cal athletes succeed and thrive and our football team perform at the best level possible. I highly recommend you donate to help improve that mission.
I wish you would not integrate politics with asking for Cal NIL money. I support sports to get away from politics and expect to have 3 to 4 hours of fun enjoying Cal athletes.
If this is in connection with mention of the Calgorithm, I have enjoyed the self-mockery of the perceived politics of Cal. We all know Cal has so much more variety of thought than the box others try to put us in. It is great that so many more people across the country have been learning about Cal, even if it is just the basic Cal and Berkeley are the same school, or to understand we can mock ourselves just as well as we can mock others. Time is now to take all the attention and turn it into dollars so ALL our programs can survive and thrive.
Thanks for the support guys. I have come to the realization that losing sucks and relegation would suck more. Appreciate everyone’s help in creating a championship caliber program. Cal has too many natural advantages to be mired in mediocrity. Time to start using some of them to create a top-tier program. I think we can.
Absolutely Sebastabear. Thanks for all the work you do behind the scenes to get this machine going, and how deeply in trouble we'd all be if you didn't volunteer your efforts. We have all the fun but you deserve way more kudos for the sweat equity you've put in here.
Done!
Just made my 4th donation. Go Bears!

Come aboard Andrew. Our 3 to 4 hours might be gone soon. This is our last shot
It was all football, no politics. Please reread.
...Where were politics mentioned once in this post?
I am very confused as well
