Cal Football released its first depth chart of the 2022 season.
There were a couple of surprises but mostly the team is setup as we expected them to be heading into the season opener on September 3rd.
Jack Plummer is your starting QB, as expected.
True freshman Jaydn Ott earns co-RB2 honors with DeCarlos Brooks.
Jeremiah Hunter, Mavin Anderson, and J.Michael Sturdivant are your starting wideouts, but they have the OR designation as well, with Tommy Christakos, Mason Magnum and Monroe Young all featuring.
Jermaine Terry is the starting tight end, but expect Keleki Latu to be involved heavily in two-TE sets.
The starting OL is as expected, with transfer Spencer Lovell filling in at right guard and Brian Driscoll lined on the other side at left guard.
Jaedon Roberts will fill into the other defensive end spot to replace BRETT JOHNSON.
Odua Isibor currently wins the battle of transfers for the rush hybrid position over Xavier Carlton.
Craig Woodson wins the second safety spot alongside Daniel Scott.
Isiah Young is your second starting corner beside Lu-Magia Hearns III.
Jeremiah Hunter and Mavin Anderson are the primary returners.

Loved seeing the name Luckhurst among the kickers! His dad was a terrific Golden Bear kicker.
