Cal Football Safety Daniel Scott taken by the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL Draft
The last of the takers heads to the league
After much speculation, Daniel Scott has been drafted and will he heading to the AFC South courtesy of the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts took him in the fifth round, with the 158th overall pick. Scott becomes another player from the Cal secondary to be drafted in recent years, with Ashtyn Davis, Jaylinn Hawkins, Camryn Bynum, and Elijah Hicks all getting a nod.
Scott will look to be fighting for safety reps in training camp, since the Colts second safety position is up for grabs alongside Julian Blackmon. And we all know that Scott will give it everything he’s got.
Good luck to Daniel as he makes his way to Indianapolis, they are getting a great one!
Daniel is a baller. He has proven speed and he is a smart player. I look forward to him having a solid career of playing on Sundays.
5 safeties drafted in the last 3 years. Crazy. Craig Woodson might be next.
