I know everyone is gonna rush to judge and might be thinking why would they hire him as HC. But trust me when I say that if you spend some time talking to him. He’s genuinely a dude who has all the traits of a good head coach. I think that’s honestly his best fit is being a HC somewhere more than a position coach or coordinator.

oh damn well this would suck on the recruiting front, I did enjoy what he brought from Zona if he decides to leave. I can definitely say I sure as hell will not miss all of the inept punt returning and punt coverage we had over his years though.

I understand his importance in recruiting but our special teams need big improvement.

"The Bobcats are lined up for the extra point, this will put it in OT for sure after the miraculous drive for the TD, they're all set and oh no, it's blocked!"

Hopefully he moves on to the benefit of everyone involved. He gets a head coaching gig, we get a competent ST coach. etc. Can't believe we had a punt return for a TD and a kickoff return for a TD both called back due to stupid penalties that weren't even close to the return guy. (Nikko)

Once again, in Wilcox I trust.

Please, please, please, let this come true! However good his recruiting may be (and I don’t think it’s in the upper echelon of the conference), special teams play is too important to have an utterly incompetent coach in charge of it. To be perfectly honest, I’m surprised Wilcox hasn’t let him go already.

Can't figure out the Big Sky conference. You get Cal alum Troy Taylor leaving a high profile job as the OC at Utah to become head coach at lowly Sac State (I can say that because that's where I graduated) and then the Montana State head coach leaving to become linebackers coach at Texas. We know that Baldwin left the OC job at Cal to become HC at Cal Poly after he had already been a head coach at EW. And Now Ragle wants to leave the Pac 12 to become the head coach at MSU. Is that because he views it as a stepping stone to become a position coach again in a Power 5 conference at a better school? Just wondering.....
