Johnson being this solid this early is a good sign for Cal. He'll definitely force Garbers to up his game--and Chase seems to thrive in those conditions. And it gives Cal a capable starter in Musgrave's system that's ready for 2022.
Hate to be a critic but in some of these videos I see serious problems. The Hunter ball was thrown behind him. The Tonges ball was under thrown. Neither of those performances will get us far in the Pac12! Listen to me...critiquing practice reps. I should go back into hibernation until Fall.

Seeing the video of Tonges' footwork reminds me of a video showcasing Bryce Treggs' footwork. I liked that kid... what's he up to now?
I think we will surprise some people with the receiving corps. If Christakos is anything like Arcillega-Whiteside he could be a true weapon.
