Cal Football TE Jake Tonges Enters the Transfer Portal
He enters it as a Graduate Transfer
Cal TE Jake Tonges, who walked-on before earning a scholarship, has entered the transfer portal after totaling 47 rec for 620 yards and 4 TD during his time with the Golden Bears @CalRivals
The stalwart TE1 enters the portal after playing at Cal. Entering as a walk on he developed into a modern TE1 option in the Cal offense playing as a Y as well as a slot receiver. His versatility allowed Cal to run 12 personnel looks but be able to reliably run plays designed for 11.
His play will be missed. Best of luck to him and Go Bears!

Good luck Jake! Bears fans, this is normal for grad transfers to occur. This happens. What won't be normal is if we see players with multiple years left, leave. Then we panic
Ok this exodus is starting to become questionable. I get we have TE's lined up for the future, Reinwald fine (I didn't think we used him enough anyway), but Tonges and then Remigio too for the WR's??? I'm not liking what I'm smelling here.
