I have full faith in Patt McCann. Loaded with experience and of that a 2 year stint as OC for Tedford. The second half of UNLV was all of his work drawing up plays on his iPad.

I want to add that last years offense, as erratic as it was, also showed off some exciting big plays and superlative long balls, which when caught, made for some great football. And that is one significant part of the offense that has severely regressed. Perhaps that changes some this Saturday.
This Saturday's game is against a very good Va Tech team. They're very well coached with a proven head coach. Not like us with a bunch of rookie coaches which really shows.
Me too. I played football through my college years and coached it for 43 years as a head high school coach and an assistant college coach for a couple of years after my retirement
Let's face it. Our offense sucks compared to last years offense, period. We should have kept Harsin as the OC and we'd have won the Clemson and UNLV games for sure and possibly the UCLA game.

Yep, I get that. I am mostly interested in seeing if the Cal offense is better now. I sure hope so.
