Cal Men’s Basketball junior guard Matt Bradley enters the transfer portal
Things does not bode well for Cal Men's Basketball's near-term future
The clear best player on the Cal Men’s Basketball team for the past two seasons may not be there for the 2021-22 season.
After three years wearing the Cal blue-and-gold junior guard Matt Bradley has reportedly decided to explore the transfer portal.
A source confirmed to Write for California that he is in the portal.
Bradley was Cal’s leading scorer in the delayed and shortened 2020-21 season when he averaged 18.0 points per game while shooting a robust 45.5% from the field, including 36.4 from 3-point land. The 6’ 4”, 220 lb guard also averaged 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Bradley earned the Pac-12 Second Team honor for the second straight season, despite missing 8 games due to injuries to both ankles.
This is a developing situation, but this news obviously will alter the building plans of head coach Mark Fox in what would be his third season at the helm at Cal next school year.
