I really don’t think we can overstate how much Ott appears to be a generational talent who genuinely seems to love our program. That guy could undoubtedly play at any school, and the fact that he stays with us really reminds me of the way college sports used to feel. I hope he knows just how much us fans appreciate him. It’s one thing to be an amazing baller, it’s another thing to really build a team.
He and Mikey Matthews represent the type of player the passing game kind of missed last year - a speedy, athletic, quick twitch WR that could make people miss. Toss them in the mix with bigger bodies in Trond, Merriweather, plus some possible impact guys like Nyziah…could be nice. Hopefully Sterlin Gilbert knows WTF he’s doing in the passing game….
