Cal Men’s Basketball was scheduled to play at Stanford (in this case at Santa Cruz) on March 6/7 to close out the season before the Pac-12 Tournament. That game has now been rescheduled to the game week that we were scheduled to host the Cardinal in Berkeley. Cal will be playing Stanford twice in the same week to allow Stanford to reschedule their postponed games in the final week of the season.
Read the official statement below.
California's road game against Stanford, originally scheduled for March 6/7, has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 7. The men's basketball game will be played at 7 p.m. PST at Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz. It will be televised on FS1.
The change was made upon the request of the Pac-12 Conference and in coordination with Stanford. The game was rescheduled in order to free up the final week of the regular season to allow for previously postponed games to be played at that time.
Cal and Stanford will now clash twice in a four-day span in early February; the teams' first meeting is scheduled for Feb. 4 in Berkeley.
