The Bears have the second of a tough homestretch hosting the top 10 ranked UCLA Bruins. The Bruins have not played since mid-December and quickly scheduled a rematch against Long Beach State after their game with Stanford was postponed. The Bruins won 96-78. A point of concern for the Bruins would be star player Jaime Jaquez Jr. did not play in the second half after an ankle sprain knocked him out during the first half of the game. The Bears need their defense to carry against the #12 offense, according to KenPom and a top 10 3PT shooting team in the country. The UCLA roster is stacked with scorers across the lineup and with the depth they can get scoring in bunches from any position on the floor.
And if you missed there Bears’ last game against USC make sure to check out the recap.
Cal’s Win Probability and Score according to KenPom: 24% (72-64 Loss)
Cody Riley is also going to play, made his return against LBSU so I imagine he might either get 6th man minutes or get the nod over Myles Johnson.
Hope I'm wrong, but this one is gonna be ugly.
