Cal Men’s Basketball to face UCLA in Empire Classic
Bears take on California rival for the first time since Pac-12 departure
The Cal Men’s basketball team is scheduled to take on UCLA in the Empire classic on Tuesday, November 25th. The Bears and Bruins will be the showcase game for the event held at Chase Center. The event will also be benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project.
“We’re thrilled to renew the Cal-UCLA rivalry on such a big stage as part of the Empire Classic,” Cal head coach Mark Madsen said. “Anytime you have these two schools and programs meet, it brings great energy – and to do it in Chase Center, right here in the Bay Area, makes it even more special. It’s an incredible opportunity for our teams and fans, and we’re excited to represent Cal in one of the NBA’s premier venues.”
As part of the event, the Bears will host Presbyterian on November 18th and Sacramento state on November 21st.

Don't care about UCLA. They are dead to me. fUCLA.
Ugh, requirement for Calimony. This roster is probably gonna need a hot stretch late to break 50 against Cronin.
Still have faith in Madsen, but after the previous regime disaster this program really can’t compete in the current NIL/portal era. Maybe the House Settlement changes things a little, and we need a charismatic GM in the worst way.
