Cal Men's Basketball transfer Jaylon Tyson has waiver appeal approved
Tyson is now eligible to play this season starting with Friday's game against Pacific
After the NCAA initially denied Jaylon Tyson’s transfer eligibility waiver, Cal Athletics and Cal Men’s Basketball immediately filed an appeal on the decision. On Thursday morning the appeal was ruled on, granting Tyson immediate eligibility for the rest of the season.
Statement On Tyson Waiver: “We are very thankful that the NCAA has approved Jaylon Tyson’s waiver for immediate eligibility. We are excited that he will be back on the court Friday night playing the game he loves.” – Cal MBB HC Mark Madsen
Jaylon Tyson transferred to Berkeley from Texas Tech, after the firing of Mark Adams, and prior to that he spent a season at Texas.
Cal fans will get their first look at Jaylon Tyson when Cal Men’s basketball hosts Pacific, this Friday at 7PM.
Folks, things just got quite interesting for Mark Madsen’s first season….
Just brilliant news.
Good news for Cal sports? It’s been so long I honestly forgot how to react with actual excitement. I want more.
