We live and die by the 3, and when we're missing 3's the teams catch up on us.

I'm getting pretty frustrated with Aimaq. He does so much on offense, but holy shit his defense. There was a moment at the end of the game when we were still within reach, Oregon is driving the ball through the paint right at him. He doesn't even get his arms up and use his height, he just sits there and watches him shoot hoping for the rebound. Whoops, now it's a 4 possession game.

Cal competed. Not the case last year.

Madsen will have some stuff to discuss with the team about the end of the 1st half. But a lot of this one was missing shots and FTs, which happens. I'm curious about what people who know a lot about basketball think.

We're just a bit out of sync. Maybe the players are tired?

Still in it - I was worried that getting down by 8 they'd lose control but Bears still hanging in there!

Not a good sequence for Fardaws there. Not sure how he just kinda loses it for a bit.

Love him in the pick and roll with Tyson, though.

Another instance of cal waiting for half to end while the opponent racks up threes to erase a comfortable lead. They ramped up defense, cal did not

Exactly! Ugh - well better to have a lead than not but disappointing it isn't MUCH larger.

Ugh - we had an 18 point lead down to 4. Still a lead but c'mon BEARS!

Looking great so far! Learn from the ASU game and keep composure with a lead.

Say what you want about Fardaw’s defense but it is nice to have a big guy who can really score

Yeah - he's got a bevy of good moves, can dribble some, and rebound. From what I've seen with him - defense is a little shaky but may be that is partly scheme?

I love how we are playing! I don't know if it will last but the players really do look confident and excited. It's nice when good play from a previous game leads to good play the following game. One complaint - Oregon's court is AWFUL looking! Is anyone in the building that can comment on it - may be it looks worse on tv? Ugh!

The Bears came to play. When the three pointers are falling we can hang with anybody

It looks they made an emphasis in getting off to a fast start...hopefully they can maintain it! Go Bears!

Oregon lost to Santa Clara, who we beat. If we play well, we can beat Oregon. But let's not tempt fate and spot them a big lead (or the reverse like we did with ASU).
