I hate to say this (not really), but I'm glad you all watched the game, so I didn't have to.

This one was winnable on paper.

Not even close on the court.

Cal was a rare favorite.

Knowlton will give Fox a pass of course, though, because no Clayton, no Alajiki…

He hands out excuses like Oprah hands out cars….

Cal is not competitive today. And the Besrs were favored. Disappointing.

Worst half of basketball of the Mark Fox era.

Nice job.

"worst [fill in the blank] of the Mark Fox era" is a very low bar. Yet, somehow when you think it couldn't get any worse, Fox surprises the world with even more futility.

I would argue it's a high bar, unless we're playing limbo.

Probably longer than that. Probably in the last 20 years.

They had a half v. Notre Dame and Mike Brey where they scored 7 points, I believe, no?

There was a game against Temple like that too I vaguely recall.

Ya, I think you’re right, P.

Look, like we’ve said, there’s not a lot more you can say about the disaster that Mark Fox has been. Still, getting blown out by 20 as 3.5 point home favorites is literally a new low. Oregon State hasn’t won on the road in forever.

I wouldn’t put it past Fox to rule guys out as injured just to maintain the injury excuse. I’m joking, but…only a little.

Yet, even in that game, there was hope after halftime. Under the Fox regime, there is only despair. (Plus, there is still time for Fox to beat that record, too!)

Not a lot of offense

Anyone else tired of Mark Fox and 4 years of putrid offenses?

I stopped watching after the Colorado debacle. Then I peaked at the Oregon game. Mistake. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. So, I've stopped watching men's basketball all together. And TBH, although they're playing much better and are a million times more interesting to watch, I've become less interested in watching the Cal women's team as well. They seem to struggle with "evenness" in their performance. I say this, though, with a very big caveat-the Pac-12 for women's basketball is very tough. Week in and week out you, it is a very entertaining conference to watch for women's basketball, because so many of the teams are highly talented and play with "heart and fortitude" ala Mick Cronin's analysis of the Bruins' loss at Arizona.

The rare instance of Cal giving points…-3.5.

Which Cal team shows up…which Oregon State team shows up.

This should be the one that costs him his job, if Cal had competent leadership, which they don’t.

Jim Knowlton is just horrid.

I was hesitant earlier in the season, but this should be the straw that broke the camel's back. I mean come on: enough already.

At really no point in his career has Fox been known for efficient, potent offenses, but it is so painfully obvious that the college game has continued to evolve…and he lacks the ability to adapt to it.

Schematically, he’s stuck in 1950’s Indiana High School basketball.

Heck Wyking's last team actually improved at the end of the season. This is just sad.
