It took Mark Fox 15 games, but he finally figured out the recipe for success for this team — shooting 70% from 3 point range. Looks like problem is solved!!!
I’m going to have to demand a formal apology from one Jimmy Chitwood for his claim that a Jerod Haase led Stanford team would make the NCAA tournament this year
Not sure Furd caught us napping…they definitely focused attention on Lars…
Cal’s ball movement the past two games (without Askew, which I think is huge, TBH) has been night and day different from the first 14 games. Like with Shepherd last year, and Bradley the year before, after a few initial passes, once that ball got back in his hands, he’d settle himself and then it was going up.
The O has more flow and rhythm without Askew…that’s just a fact. And they’re hitting open shots.
Facts…he’s streaky….hopefully they can hold on and win.
However, these are the types of games that he’s had over his 7-year college career…they even out his 5-22 in the first 2…that’s how he ends up shooting 39% for his career….but I’ll definitely take it.
Stanford -9 is a crazy number from when I saw it in Tahoe this morning. Especially when you consider that Mark Fox almost a .500 record vs Jerod Haase (didnt research this going off the top of my head)
Given how cal let the buffs almost come back, don’t count the chickens yet. But this sounds like an entertaining game at least. Have to listen as don’t have espnu
Feels good man

Yup.
Well done, Bears!
Coach Fox's Cal juggernaut rolls to a 22 point win, and has won 3 of their last 4.
Coach for life -- time to extend.
Knowlton is sprinting to the next UC Regents meeting to extend….
MARK FOX OWNS JEROD HAASE.
Cal has won 3/4
Final score: Cal 92 Stanford 70
92-70 bears win!
Did the Axe make an appearance at this game?
For a coach and Athletic Director that “won’t give excuses”, they give a lot of excuses. ;-)
Going to need some input for this next claim:
Is Jerod Haase diet Lorenzo Romar 2.0?

My sincerest apologies….I’ll get it notarized.
Where has this 3pt shooting been all season? It can’t just be Clayton
Bears up 18…GREAT EFFORT.
Fox still needs to go though.
Damn, what happened?
Worth watching.
Best game in a Cal uniform for Clayton, KK, Alajiki and Roberson…solid minutes from Newell and Okafor.
Fucking three pointers ablaze. Jesus!
Did we catch Furd napping?
Nice trap game for Furd.

Go Bears!
Absolutely.
If Jim Knowlton hadn’t of blocked me on Twitter, I would tell him “good job.”
Why on earth would he block you? <sarcasm font>
Sam Alajiki!! Great to see ya bud!
Drip…drip…drip…
Devin Askew you are the 6th man!
Exactly.
KUANY KUANY!
Dudes got skills.
Horrible jumper, Joel.
Joel Brown’s FT ineptitude is a puzzler.
Nice D from Kuany on that Michael Jones drive.
Imagine Grant Newell in a better offense.
Grant Newell is a stud.
Ball movement and offensive flow has been SO much better the past 2 without Askew…hate to say it.
Imagine if their starting SR C gave them anything…like, literally anything.
1 point, 1 rebound, awful D.
Okafor should start getting more and more minutes.
Hey Chitty...Dejuan Clayton serving up crow tonight.
But a helluva game…
I’d be ok too though if he spread this effort out over the 3 games! ;-)
Facts…he’s streaky….hopefully they can hold on and win.

Who are these guys?
Halftime Cal 45 Stanford 37, just how we drew it up
Also the best half of Marsalis Roberson’s career.
45-37 bears at the half, grrraaahhh
Best half of Cal basketball in the Fox era.
both teams scorching hot so far
Kuany knocks the ball out of Okafor’s hands on an uncontested board…right to a Furd player for an Alajiki foul. Cal basketball, people.
Braun pointed out within first 3 minutes that Fox has had injuries but hasn’t made excuses.
Um, yeah he has Ben.
Lars Thiemann really gives you nothing. Getting owned by the Frenchman.
Go bears. Beat furd

Too many points. I bet Cal.
can you give us a heads-up next time?
Will do. I’m usually the human indicator, though OC B…take my picks and play the opposite…. ;-)
I hope we win.
