I'm rooting for some sort of grassroots upheaval. If you are following Jerome Randle on Twitter or saw Lamond's comments, it kind of feels like the pot is about to bubble over. I don't want us to have to actively root against ourselves. We need to make noise and show the basketball world that there are folks that care about this program. Fans have largely waged a silent protest by simply checking out (myself included), but that hasn't worked. If this program is ever going to function competently and to have competent coaches and players want to become a part of it, there has to some sort of energy here.
Let’s start the Mozilla pool: on what date does Twitter break the news that Cal has fired Mark Fox? If Twitter is gone by then, ESPN.com is the benchmark.
I’m actually a little surprised how bad they are. When they went with Fox, I didn’t love the hire but understood it…I figured sure, Cal now has a relatively low ceiling, but based on his time in Athens, they should have a decent floor. I mean, he would stabilize the carnage that Mike Williams and Wyking Jones hath wrought, and by year 4 or 5, he’d get them close to .500. Hell, if things broke right and he hit on a recruit or a scoring grad transfer, maybe even in the bubble conversation…boy howdy…smdh.
As a relatively new AD, when the high floor guy you hired (over exciting, young up and coming guys) is looking at 0-9, I think it’s fair to wonder if you made a mistake with your second career choice.
He definitely needs to work on his touch, athleticism and hands.
He’s the quintessential big body, and while he has absolutely improved since first arriving on campus, he nonetheless lacks the skills to be a factor at this level, at least in a major role.
So when a coach is 0-8 in his FOURTH season how bad does it have to get before he’s fired? 0-9? 0-10?
How much more evidence does Knowlton need to know Fox ain’t the guy.
I'm kinda rooting for a 0-30 season. If we're gonna be bad, be historically bad.

Exactly. Not sure how much Knowlton needs to see? What more?
Only if we fire Fox. Given Knowlton’s ineptitude, he may retain Fox regardless…wouldn’t surprise me, especially if they show any life with Clayton…
Colonel Mustard, should be in search of a Clue…instead he’s looking for excuses.

$5, winner take all…Who’s in?
If this is against WFC protocol, apologies….
12/25
Which year?
Would be a delightful gift to all of us!
Eventually, the Bears got the FG % up to almost 28%. 3s were only 25%. There were a lot of makeable looks that clanked badly.
Cal is 0-8
Final score: USC 66 Cal 51
That 20-0 USC run is going to be tough to overcome.
USC just finished a 20-0 run
20 to NOTHING!?!?!?!?!? Holy shit, this is a historically bad basketball team. 0-30, here we come.
At this rate, the sliding floor wiper guy under the north basket is going to enter the transfer portal.
Joel Brown just rolled his ankle. Cal has a negative amount of guards left
For a team that doesn’t recruit bigs, to be short on guards begs the question: just who TF is this idiot actually recruiting?
Oh thats right - wings. 2 guards, 2 bigs, and 11 wings.
Fire this farce already.
If someone told me when Fox was hired that in four years he'd have us as good as Louisville I'd have been thoroughly impressed.
I'm still impressed, but only by how bad he's been.

USC 13-0 run, 59-43 Trojans
Looks like a wrap. 0-8 coming up.
Joshua Morgan of USC: 6 Blocks with 7 minutes left. Gotta give him his flowers.
Man Drew Peterson is tough
Most f-ing punchable, USC face ever…
Most USC-face ever.
Cal shot < 18% in the first half. It doesn't matter what plays Fox or anyone calls if makeable shots are not made.
27-22 USC at half. How Cal is in this game I don't know. First 10 minutes = 2 points, last 10 minutes = 20 points
USC leaving the door open, and Bears sped things up a bit with tempo and transition. Shocker…we’ve been clamoring to play faster for 4 years.
This is an embarrassment. If Jim Knowlton doesn’t care, why TF should we.
I am disgusted by this coaching staff. They’re thieves.
2 points in 7 minutes. Not great bob!
Bill Walton + Cal's mens basketball = whiskey
Worst start in history of all major conference history - tied with Louisville - how weird is that, but they have higher kenpom rating.
I will be pleasantly surprised if we win a single game this year
If there is any hope of recruiting any decent players for next year, time to move on and higher a new coach ASAP.
WTF is going on the AD office?!?!
66-60 with a 27% chance to win? That’s optimistic. It feels like we’re in a competition with Louisville to be the worst team.
we need to play them in March. Sicko Madness.
Sicko’s Final 4…Louisville v. Florida State…Cal v. South Florida.
Losers play for the title…
Decent young player that has the potential to develop.
He definitely needs to work on his touch, athleticism and hands.
